Description

A hand-coloured map of Staffordshire from Henry Teesdale's (1776-1856) 'New British Atlas', published from 1829 to 1835. Inscribed with the publication information in plate to the lower edge. On watermarked and dated J. Whatman wove.

Condition

Cropped to the plate line at the right edge, cropped outside the plate line at all other edges. There is some mild foxing and discolouration and two closed tears, one at the centre of the upper edge and the other at the centre of the lower edge. Both are outside the plate lines.
