Description

A charming ornithological study of a female crossbill sitting on the branch of a pine tree with a pine cone. The artist has rendered the bird in fantastic detail. The artist has signed and monogrammed in the lower right corner and inscribed the bird's name and the scale of the drawing at the lower edge.

The painting has been presented in a smart, wood frame with gilt inner window and a hand drawn wash-line mount. The glazing is anti-glare.

On wove.

Condition

The painting is in fine condition. There is some debris trapped behind the glazing. The frame has some surface dents and scratches.
