A charming still life showing a bowl of tasty fruit in front of a window. The artist has signed to the lower right although this is partially obscured by the frame (possibly B. Beynon). The painting is presented in a gilt frame with foliate strap work and an internal gilt slip. On pulp board.
Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. There is peeling to areas of the paint, particularly the lower left and upper middle areas. There is considerable undulation to the pulp board. The frame has general tarnishing and a chip to the lower left corner.
