A delightful early 20th century study of a figure with horse and cart. They walk toward the viewer on a dusty path with trees lining the road. With impressionist brushwork and a soft, rustic colour palette. Presented in a gilt effect box frame with a glass backing. Unsigned but there is an indistinct inscription to the reverse, possible the location. On canvas board.
Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some surface dirt. Minor scuffs to the frame. Inspection under UV light reveals no restoration.
