A delightful oil painting of a formal garden with mature border planting, and a grand water fountain. This well maintained manor garden is full of blooming flowers and horticulture delights. A young child can be seen cheekily playing with a kitten on the lawn. The artist has indistinctly monogrammed to the reverse of the canvas. Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration caused by surface dirt. There are several small pin hole marks visible in all four corners of the painting. The stretcher bars beneath are causing a linear crease to the painting along the top section of the composition. The frame is in a good condition with only two small chips to edges.
