A fine etched rendition of the Big Ben by Fred A. Farrell. The artwork shows strong plate lines and has various blind stamps to the bottom left. Signed in graphite below plate lines. On the reverse is an inscribed label stating the artist's name, medium and title. Well-presented in a thin wooden frame with an off-white card mount. On wove.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and very minor foxing. Some marks and trapped dirt to the mount. Minor scuffs to the frame.

Artist Biography
Fred A. Farrell (1882-1935) was an etcher and painter of portraits and topographical subjects. He was largely self-taught but did receive some assistance from his friend Muirhead Bone. He etched views of London, Glasgow, Paris, and other European cities some of which were shown at the RA, RSA, GI, Connell and Sons and at the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool. His work is in the collections of Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Glasgow and Paisley Art Gallery.
