A fine French School scene in oil, from the Mid 20th Century. A rough road leads up to a provincial building, possibly a church, under stormy skies, with stark trees on either side. The artist has signed to the lower right corner, illegibly. The painting has been presented in a 20th Century gilt frame with brown velvet slip. On board.
Condition
The painting has some age tone and darkening. There are some scuffs to the frame and a small chip to the upper edge of the inner window.
