A charming early 20th century rural themed oil painting of Haytime in the Meads, Wimborne. Farmhands can be seen busy in the fields, filling horse drawn wagons with loose hay ready to bring back to the hayloft. The painting is signed to the lower left. Beautifully presented in a simple wooden frame. On canvas on stretchers.
Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration caused by a buildup of surface dirt. Inspection under UV light reveals no restoration. There are a few light marks and scuffs to the wooden frame. Otherwise in very good condition.
