Collection Information
From a collection of artworks in graphite, charcoal and oil by Mary Cecilia Crompton (1899-1981) who was an amateur artist but of no little talent, who on several occasions exhibited at Nottingham Castle. Many works in the collection depict animals including horses, cats, dogs, rabbits and birds and this was clearly a favourite subject of the artist. Other subjects include landscape and still life studies.
