A delightful mid 19th century watercolour, depicting a run down stone cottage in need of some maintenance. A figure can be seen making his way to the entrance of the building, passing the many timber planks lent against the stone work and chimney breast. Initialled to the lower right. The painting has been well presented in a cross-bar frame and white card mount. Glazed. On wove.
Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and light foxing to the watercolour. The white card mount has slightly discoloured also. The cross-bar frame is in fine condition.
