A very well composed original 1925 watercolour in the traditional style, by the artist J.A.B. Southall. Depicting a small flock of sheep beside a country path, the artist has purposefully evoked rural life in the countryside, with delicate tones. Well-presented in a gilt mount and gilt effect moulded wooden frame, as shown. Signed and dated. On watercolour paper.
Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some light discolouration and foxing spots to the upper area. The frame is in good condition, with only light wear to corners.
