This 19th Century restrike etching depicts Jess the horse standing in her stable as a man tries to beckon her canine companion out of the stall. Inscribed 'Jess in her Stable'.
Plate created by James Brown, an artist living in the 19th century. A similar artwork of the same name can be found in the British Museum's collection. Plate lines are not visible due to being obstructed by a card mount.
On wove.Condition
In fine condition. Paper has been brightened.
