A vibrant abstract oil painting with areas of heavy impasto. A figure is visible to the foreground, enveloped by large blocks of colour, blue and reds which dominate the composition. The rapid gestural brushstrokes are reminiscent of Willem de Kooning's series 'Women. With violent lines and a garish colour palette he intuitively explored the artistic process, repainting onto the canvas to build layers of thick paint. Unsigned. On canvas on stretchers.
