Artist Biography
Mervyn G Pearson is a marine artist based in Bembridge on the Isle of Wight. He is an accomplished artist in watercolour who exhibited regularly at the Holyrood Gallery, in Newport, and the Bembridge Gallery alongside other Island artists such as Martin Swan RSMA and Cavendish Morton. His style of painting is instantly recognisable and consistent as well as being accurate in their observation. He doesn't limit himself to painting the 'popular' scenes in his local area but is equally comfortable with historical marine and semi-industrial scenes of Newport Quay, Cowes and the river Thames.
