This charming oil study depicts a wooden bridge stretching over a calm river in a woodland area. A young couple lean over the bridge's edge, looking out over the water. The calming composition and it's focus on nature shows references to impressionists such as Monet. Unsigned. Well presented in a glazed 19th century gilt frame with a beaded running pattern and a gilt slip. On board.
