Artist Biography
Nat Lowell (1880-1956) emigrated from Latvia to New York where he studied at the Art Students League. He taught at Hunter Collage and the New School. He is best known for his etchings of New York City, and his meticulous attention to detail when it comes to depicting architectural structures. Lowell's works are currently in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The New York Public Library and the Library of Congress amongst other institutions.
