Artist Biography
Charles Louis Philippe Zilcken (1857-1930) was a Dutch painter and writer.
He studied at the Gymnasium Haganum, and later with Karel Klinkenberg and Anton Mauve.
In 1875, he focused on engraving, by studying etching and lithography.
