Description
A fine French Impressionist portrait from the early 20th Century. The portrait shows a young boy with soft brown hair in a white linen shirt. The artist has used a delightful palette of blues, greens and yellows to create this summery piece. The artist has signed to the lower right corner and there is a canvas stamp at the reverse, dating this painting circa 1910. On canvas.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. There is some slack in the canvas and wear and shrinkage at the upper edge of the canvas stretchers.

Artist Biography
Raphaël Delorme was born in Cauderon, Bordeaux in 1885. He studied at l'École des Beaux-Arts de Bordeaux. After he moved to Paris he designed for theater productions. He soon gave up this work and devoted himself full time to painting, with financial support from a relative. He left Paris and moved to his cousin's castle in Valesnes where he painted for many years.
