Description

A late 19th century etching depicting a sailing ship moored at low tide by artist Robert Currie. As a Scottish artist Currie contributed a number of original etchings to the English Etchings series and is also known to have made at least a dozen independent plates. Based in Perthshire, he was also known as a painter in oils, exhibiting at the Royal Academy in London in 1885. Signed in plate. On watermarked laid.

Condition

Areas of minor discolouration and foxing. Holes and pin holes visible on all four corners. Plate line still visible.
