A delightful early 20th Century graphite drawing by the artist Ruth Cobb, depicting a river scene with British ships unloading logs in Middleburg, Holland. The artist has applied varying tones and considered strokes to perfectly portray this American street scene. Signed, inscribed and dated in the lower right hand corner with a further inscription on reverse, as shown. Well presented in a card mount with graphite detailing and a gilt effect frame. On wove.
Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including areas of discolouration and minor foxing. There is also a 1cm mark at the top right hand corner. There is some surface dirt beneath the glazing. The frame is in fine condition.
