A large painting by S.M. Sands after Peter Paul Rubens's (1577-1640) 'The Peasants Returning from the Fields' (c.1640) in the collection of the Galleria Palatina, Florence. Presented in a distressed gilt-effect wooden frame with stick and ribbon moulding to the outer edge and a bead course to the inner edge. Signed to the lower-left edge. On board.
Condition
There is some discolouration and some small marks to the surface. Inspection under UV light reveals no restoration.
