Description

A humorous hand coloured lithograph depicting an amusing scene, with the fishermen's efforts to obtain bait disrupted by their interference of some sort of insect nest. The ladies who have started on their picnic are rushing away in horror. . Along the bottom center margins in plate is the title ‘Digging For Bait’ with the words ‘London Published by Tho. McLean, 26, Haymarket’ underneath. The print is presented in a gilt frame with card mount.

Condition

In fine condition. Some denting to the left edge of the frame. The original plate lines are in tact.
