When a Pointer detects hidden game it halts suddenly with its nose pointing to the game so the hunter can prepare to shoot. When ready, the hunter commands the pointer to flush the game for it to be shot. Presented glazed in an early twentieth century oak frame with a gilt-effect slip. Signed to the lower-right edge. On canvas on stretchers.
Condition
There are some small marks to the slip and frame but overall in very good condition.
